This means they can stop and search anyone at anytime, and they do not

An increase on this scale cannot possibly be justified by the supposed
increase in the threat of terrorism.
This is really scary.
Amateur Photographer magazine has run a series of editorial comments
about the police getting out of hand in England and harassing
photographers. Worth reading if you have access to the magazine. I'd
be terrified to shoot photos anywhere in the UK if there was even a
remote possibility that a child might wander into the image.
