Good point Bob.

OT Warning:
Another point is that men generally have to act as children don't exist in
public. Try smiling at a child, without smiling an "I'm a friendly guy"
smile to the mother first. We all know what happens. The mother will act
like you’re a freak. Most likely the child will act similar. This is sad, so
sad.
And this worries me a lot more, than that I have to be careful when
photographing in public. We are teaching our children that 50% of the
population are potential danger. How does that affect a child? This really
frightens me.

"People need to be educated that it IS possible to photograph children
without being a pedophile."
I would go a bit further. I would say that we should educate people that it
IS possible to show interest towards children without being a pedophile.

Don't get me wrong. I'm not saying that pedophile men (or woman) do not
exist, or don't represent a problem.
In my work as a social worker, I know they do. But I am afraid that the way
we are treating this problem, we are doing a lot of harm towards the
children we are protecting.

Mostly harmless (just plain Norwegian)

Never underestimate the power of stupidity in large crowds
