Recently, about a month ago, i've got myself a second hand Minolta
DiMAGE Scan Elite II (2820DPI+ICE). Everything was just perfect, scans
are great and all that. I was just happy !
Once the year changed (2005->2006) something in my computer has gone
completely MAD ! I didn't change nothing nor in photoshop nor in the
scanner software (i use the Minolta one, the original, downloaded from
the site). Now, i can't open any TIFF image scanned in my photoshop :(
Any other image viewer (like IrfanView and ACDSee) works just fine
with those files, but not the PS CS2 :( I've tried to reinstall the
driver and the software - no help.. Photoshop just keep screaming with
"Could not complete your request because of the program error"
message... I've tried to scan a JPG and it works just fine but not the
TIFF.
I've NEVER seen this before. I've researched the internet today all
day and found absolutely nothing ! Did anyone see this behaviour ?
