I've just checked my 1p, and it seems to be the same (i.e. for a f.l. of 28mm the speed chosen was 1/20, with the 24-90 around 50 the speed changed - while rotating slightly the zoom ring - between 1/45 and 1/30). Is it the same or the speeds your camera sets are slower? > Furthermore, the internal flash symbol starts blinking rapidly at focal > lenghts under 35mm. I thought the Z1-p's flash covered 28mm? It depends on the form of the lens. With huge lenses you'll see the symbol blinking even at longer focal lenghts (again, with the 24-90 the symbol keeps blinking until the lens is around 40mm...), while with the FA 28/2.8 there's no problem at all. The FA series (and I guess the F series too) tells the body about the safe range for the RTF (you'll probably will have different results - but not too much - with the MZ-50 in this regard because the flash stands a bit higher than in the Z-1p). Are you able to check it with a 28mm prime (F or FA)? I'm quite sure that your Z-1p is working normally. Well, almost... :-) Ciao, Gianfranco _ __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!? Tired of spam? Yahoo! Mail has the best spam protection around http://mail.yahoo.com
