But getting back to AF, surely for candids a fast AF and a 70-200 on a good quality sensor and you can't go wrong. Well, you can but that's a whole different kettle of discombobulations.
Personally, I think something in the range of a 24-90 would be a better wedding lens, but it would really need to be a constant aperture to keep the backgrounds from going all weird.
