OK, I'm sure that they are making a profit (maybe) but they can not
possibly be making as much profit per unit as Nikon even with Sansung
mixed in to reduce component costs, the base price is just too low.
Canon is another matter all together, they make at least twice as much
as Nikon per unit as they supply the most costly components themselves
and charge a price which seems not to be driving customers away. If
Pentax can make a profit doing what they do good on them but I'm sure
Nikon and Canon can make them hurt if they perceive them to be any
kind of threat. It should be an interesting couple of years.
