Yes, Ritz furnished me with supporting documentation as to the actual date 
of purchase. I even got delivery info from UPS and my CC Bank. Everything 
was done properly, but they have dug in their heels and are refusing to 
acknowledge that the additional info has any bearing on the matter.
Agreed that the Rebate Program is run by a third party, but the info is all 
on the Pentax web site. I did call Pentax Customer Service and basically 
they pushed me off to the Rebate Company and said "it was out of their 
hands". In other words, Tough S.....!
And, yes, Bill, I am "cutting off my nose.....", but maybe someone in Pentax 
will read or hear about my, and maybe others, who have similar stories, and 
will take note. I rather doubt it, but at the moment it is all that I can do 
unfortunately!
I was even going to write a letter of complaint to Pentax Corporate, along 
with all the documentation, but I have come to the unfortunate conclusion 
that it would probably never get to the people who may give a darn, and 
would end up circular filed way too soon.
