        Basically the same as the cost of 1/2 of a roller-ball computer 
mouse's moving parts.  It's an optical tracker with molded plastic parts. 
Last time I bought one of those it was for $5 retail with a $5 rebate.  
It cost me a $0.37 stamp and 6 to 8 weeks of them having my $5.
