There is already strong indication that they are going to do that. I saw this 
somewhere in some link someone posted a while back. Maybe a chart about the 
proposed lenses' release dates? The estimated prices for a lot of were in the 
$1,000 range.

Pentax glass with prices more like Canon glass. It is only logical really for 
Pentax to do it. Although I don't like it personally, I understand it.

I bought three lenses months ago anticipating the release of the K10D would 
raise prices for older lenses. On Bruce's recommendation, one I got is the A 
70-210. (The only A I got, however.) 

We shall see if I can learn to use it; go through all those laborious, 
painful manual steps.
