One of the effects "global warming" that doesn't appear to be well understood, is the erratic nature of some of the changes. The place you live, with its abundant water, may find itself in a prolonged drought and not so abundant water. At the same time other places that have never had abundant water may find they've more water than they have infrastructure to handle. So it may be you would be doing yourself a favor by reducing the energy expended on those long hot showers. That's not to say I'm telling what to do either way, only suggesting you may be more interconnected with the rest of this rock we live on than you think. As to the cost of heating (or cooling) your home, I've found that good insulation does more to reduce the cost than anything else; keeping the warmth in in the winter, and the heat out in the summer. -- PDML Pentax-Discuss Mail List [email protected] http://pdml.net/mailman/listinfo/pdml_pdml.net
