For the kind of brief forays I make into very cold weather (temps in the 20s to 30s), I haven't done anything special at all. I do keep the camera in a bag when not in use to prevent it from becoming cold soaked so quickly, other than that I just take pictures. When I was traveling cross country in those temperatures, I took care to bring the cameras and batteries into the hotel room overnight so they wouldn't cold soak, otherwise just took them out to take pictures as needed. With the weather sealing on the K10D, I'm becoming rather more casual about shooting in rain too ... although I don't like to let the camera or lens get soaked anyway.
