Welcome Marnie,

I used to keep all selected slides/negatives in a bank safe deposit
box. As it happened, it was during an active photo period and I found
it very inconvenient for both the bank and myself. Having them
available to me only during banking hours was a frustration and this
was in my pre digital era.
I now store them and their CD's in fire proof (X degrees/Y time)
document safes. In most all cases, I have back up CD's stored in
another area of the house. These "back-ups" are mostly a result of
having re-burned commercial scans that I've re-worked from ROM discs.
Website images (film and CD's) are stored together along with a binder
indexed by gallery which identifies which images exist on a CD. Am
slowly increasing the scanned inventory.
