Welcome Marnie, I used to keep all selected slides/negatives in a bank safe deposit box. As it happened, it was during an active photo period and I found it very inconvenient for both the bank and myself. Having them available to me only during banking hours was a frustration and this was in my pre digital era. I now store them and their CD's in fire proof (X degrees/Y time) document safes. In most all cases, I have back up CD's stored in another area of the house. These "back-ups" are mostly a result of having re-burned commercial scans that I've re-worked from ROM discs. Website images (film and CD's) are stored together along with a binder indexed by gallery which identifies which images exist on a CD. Am slowly increasing the scanned inventory.
