No injury. Scoliosis is one of those things that the medical community does not know why it occurs.
We had found out when he was 7 when he went for a regular checkup. On some people the spine simply decides to curve instead of grow straight. He had a lower lateral curve (left to right) and an upper curve (front-to-back). He was 15 at the the time of the surgery, which was performed then so that the spine didn't fuse in the curved postion.
