I presume you mean the 322RC2 Grip Ball head. This is the head I use most. It is fast operating and quite stable, easily positioned, and seems perfectly apt with the K10D and all of my lenses (14mm up to the DA50-200, including the A50/2.8 Macro plus 2x-S teleconverter). It's a little less precise than my other heads in terms of positioning ... the 468MGRC2 has a more precise positioning capability and a higher load capacity, for instance ... but for field work with the setup you mention I suspect the 322 will do you well.
