Well, if you want to try it ... you should go to a color managed
print workflow in Lightroom. I work on Mac OS X so the UI presented
for the printer is a little different, but the concepts should be the
same. IN the Print module:

- Click the "page setup" button under the image to the right. You
should get some kind of a hardware selector for which printer you
want to use. Choose the R1800 and set the page size. Click OK.

- At the bottom of the right hand panels, pick the Print Job panel.
In the color management section, pick the dropdown menu ... if
there's nothing in it otherwise, pick "Others". Check the profiles
for your printer that match the papers you use. That populates the
menu. Click ok, then pick the profile for the specific paper you're
going to use to test with.

- Now click the Print Settings button at the bottom. Set the printer
hardware, set the media type for the kind of paper you're using, set
the options for Color, Advanced mode, and Best Photo quality. Find
the Color Management settings and turn color management OFF.
(Lightroom will run the color translations.) Click the OK or save
button.

Now you're set up to print using the profile and color management.
Click the print button, click ok, and you should get a print that
matches your screen (presuming your screen is close to proper
calibration).

Prints from Lightroom should be identical or better than prints from
PSE if you have good profiles and set this up correctly. If not ...
something is seriously out of whack (a technical expression ;-).
