That sounds like either you have a bad paper profile or the print  
driver for the R1800 has some issue ... it sounds like it is not  
listening to the "turn off color management" function as that's what  
stuff which has been double-managed usually looks like.

I'd see whether you can remove and re-install the printer driver and  
paper profiles with new ones downloaded from the Epson website.  
Beyond that ... I don't know enough about how Windows handles the  
print driver and profiles to help.
