Some of you might remember a thread from about year ago, where I was seriously thinking about getting a Leica M8.
I didn't. I kept shooting with the K10D, spent two months with it in Spain and in Argentina, and later was the only one shooting Pentax at the Eddie Adams workshop in October. The K10D is as good as an SLR gets for street photography, but I keep having trouble with the noise, the size, the fact that so many of my pics are out of focus because the viewfinder is not as big and bright as I'd like. So... I gave in yesterday, and ordered a used, ex+ M8 from Adorama. It should arrive in time for this summer's trip, again to Argentina and later Spain. My kit until 2003 or so was an M6 with a Summicron 50 and a Pentax MX with K24/3.5 or FA35/2. They complemented each other greatly. Now it will be M8 with Voigtlanders 28 and 35 (don't want to spend the money on Leica glass for now,) and K10D with 16-45/4.
