For some reason I keep thinking that the RD-1 is not as good a value as the M8. I just refuse to pay $3000 for a 6MP camera. Somehow, paying $4500 for a 10MP one that also happens to be a Leica seems to make more sense.
So much for claiming to be beyond brand worshipping. That said, I wish Cosina would go digital with another iteration of the RD-1 or even better, the Zeiss rangefinder.
