I suspect that some combination of raw CPU speed, having lots of RAM
(4G or more), and fast disks, would help you more than going from 2
cores to 4.  I run Lr on a dual-quad-core 6G Mac Pro meat-grinder and
it's damn fast, but not *that* much faster than on my laptop.  If I
had to pick one factor it'd be having tons of memory.  -T
