hi, you can get 6 MP Pentax DSLRs used but working fine for under $300
now on ebay from sellers
that will ship to any place on earth. Even a 6Mp is close to film
in quality, actually superior with respect to grain. Not quite
as sharp as 35mm film but the zero film and developing costs pays
for the camera in no time and there are many shooting advantages
to digital also, besides the lower operational costs over film.

Right about all that - in the first world anyway. If I buy a K20d here
in BR I'm going to expend something like $1500~1700... just the body
with the kit lens. My best Mx was $120 with a very clean 50mm 1.7. There
is a lot of film in the difference (negative 35mm by Fuji, $5 apiece,
developed and scanned). Yes, I will buy the K20d one of these days. To
complement my gear.

My $120 loss if I damage the Mx is NOT stopping me to use it. The moment
I lose $1700 I'll be very angry indeed. I don't shoot that much, so that
difference is not hurting so much.

In the future (near, I hope) I'll do a lot of shooting with the digital.
But as long as I have the gear and the film so cheap, I'm using it.
Actually, I think I'll be using film as long as I can.
