I am using the older, non-macro on a DS (as in Dark Side). It's a very good lens. Compact, light, sharp and behaving very well against strong backlight. The only thing I might miss is the HSM/whateversonic AF drive. The newer, macro version is said to be even better glass-wise. But I might be just lucky with my sample - I also have first hand experience with Sigma's inconsistent quality (recent example: the 50-150/2.8 plus a long story with Sigma's useless, rude and incompetent official dealer/importer/service center here in Poland ). tm -- PDML Pentax-Discuss Mail List [email protected] http://pdml.net/mailman/listinfo/pdml_pdml.net to UNSUBSCRIBE from the PDML, please visit the link directly above and follow the directions.
