Have to know what you plan to shoot, don't we?

Any lenses you can get rid of if you get the 60-250?

Do you need the 250mm end? The 60-250 seems (to me) to be a better, sharper lens than the 50-135. But it's heavier, bigger, costs a lot. BUT, are the prices going to rise as they have in Europe? I bought mine now because of that, instead of ordering the K-7 last weekend. I already have 2 K20s, and a K10 (and a K100), and I'm selling all of those except one K20 to pay for my 60-250, and get a start on the K-7 body.

Your situation will vary. Just some thoughts to help you along.

so I'm looking at either the DA Star 50-135mm F2.8 ED (IF) SDM or the DA Star 60-250mm F4 ED (IF) SDM and the prices are way different, 500 smackers worth at B&H. Is the 60-250 really that much better, and keep in mind that linear thought and I rarely collide.

For the difference, I could also get the 21Ltd and a grip for the K-7.

What to do, what to do?
