Yes, you probably did. Lovely lens too.
Reach isn't the problem as I also have the 300/4.5 and 400/5.6. I'll
try the 400mm if it's sunny next week. Alternatively I can just apply
Capa's Rule as I did last time.
What's been bothering me lately is the "changing lenses while stuff is
happening in front of me" thing. Especially when a wrong move could
spell expensive equipment going for a swim. Even though I have
insurance, direct replacements are no longer available for most of my
kit.
I think an 80-200 f//2.8 would theoretically suit me well. I'm
undecided about whether I should look for a short zoom to go with it.
I tend to just glue the FA24mm on for the pre- and post-race shooting.
