Have you tried Peace Camera in Raleigh? They might not be on the
official distribution list, but I'll bet they could get you one
if you ask. Plus they are a real old-time local indy camera shop.
Oh yes. I'm in there at least once a week. It's within walking distance
of my house. I was in there this afternoon.
They still trade USED Pentax gear - got a K20D in this week that I'm
seriously thinking about, but it'll probably be gone before I can scrape
up the ready.
The other local independent is Southeastern Camera, also within walking
distance of my house.
The Ritz/Wolf franchise in Cameron Village shopping center (also within
walking distance) used to be an independent called Sam Bass Camera. I
think they might become an independent once again if the Ritz/Wolf chain
goes into liquidation.
