You may not understand it, or why, but I do ... I helped create it. Some things are necessary due to its structure.
Since I haven't used OS X, the first is certainly true ... I don't understand it, in fact, I know virtually nothing about its details at all beyond its inheriting from Mach, BSD, and NeXT technologies, at some level. The second, well, that was my point. Every complex system has it's annoyances. The differences line in quantity and significance.
