As I mentioned earlier in the thread, I also bought a set of Energizers
with charger.  I chucked the batteries as being next to useless but
still use the charger with the Eneloops.  I get very acceptable
performance with the *istDS and K200D but I probably don't shoot as much
as many others.  It looks like there is a specific issue with the K-x.

Having said that, I was very impressed with the life of the
non-rechargeable Lithiums that came with the K200D.
