This is exactly the impression I got from talking to the Pentax people at the K-X Introduction event in NYC a couple of months ago. They were very tight-lipped about specific plans for the future, but admitted that the A850 is a game-changer. This time next year there will be at least one full-frame camera available for around $1600.00 US. I expect a Pentax full-frame to be at least announced, if not available, by then.
