It's going to be an issue of the algorithm and _lots and lots and lots_
of empirical testing, to make sure the algorithm covers the whole space
of use cases; autofocus that does running dogs on snow but just dies
when it's a guy on a bike with a light isn't going to do your reputation
any much good.

Because of the massive-testing aspect, I strongly suspect this is an
in-house thing.

I also strongly suspect Pentax doesn't think they can afford it for the
price point they're selling at.
