But while the K7 lists for $1499 it sells for more like $999. The D300
had an original list about $1000.00 more than the original list of the K7.

Where I am, a new Nikon D300 body can be had for $1569.00, the K7 body
is $1499.00.
The D300 runs circles around the K7 (I've seen it happen).
