That's the solution I used with the *ist-Ds the K20d however has tighter
tolerances and won;t accept a card with tape on it. Also the tape is
eventually unable to hold out to the pressure from the sensor and needs
to be replaced. I wouldn't trust it in a critical situation. I never
know when that fix is going to fail.

cards. It is mere piece of material that occupies specific 3d location
(for lack of better words). My cameras and reader had hard time
working with this card. When I attached a little piece of scotch tape
in place where this piece of plastic was, the card worked fine.

This has not been the case. Two card readers do not read anything, my
K20D says 'card error' and my Optio W20 refuses to power on with this
card inside...
Do you think that there is any hope with this card?
