As far as I know Adobe hasn't done anything to make my computers unhappy. I've been using PhotoShop for over 20 years,

Was that Photoshop 1.0 or the Barneyscan version?

Good point. "Over 20 years"? Photoshop only celebrated its 20th
birthday about 6 weeks ago.

IIRC, Photoshop was first released as a standalone in '90, Imagepro/Photoshop was knocking around as a bundle for a couple of years previously. I think I first read about it in New Scientist, of all places.

To run something like Photoshop 20 years ago you needed a couple hundred thousand dollar workstation. Very few places outside of scientific establishments had those kinds of things to mess around on.
