Indeed. Warfare has evolved a lot since the fourties. :-(

There are two things that really appalls me about the video. One is
all the four letter words and the apparent attitude of the soldiers
involved. They come across as trigger-happy and pretty much lacking in
intelligence, both of the internal and the informational meaning of
the word.

The other thing is the subsequent unwillingness of the military forces
to admit mistake. From the last sentence of the report in WikiLeaks,
it seems it was a "case dismissed":

"The military said the troops acted appropriately because the Reuters
employees were more likely mixed in with the enemy fighters and were
difficult to distinguish because of their equipment. "

It's a Good Thing that such incidents are leaked, IMHO. No matter
whose armed forces are involved.
