For me, the biggest advantage of LR is that it is basically the industry
standard. If I need advice on how to do something, I can find it.
I've found that with > 80,000 photos in my lightroom catalogue, it's not
as peppy as I'd like. Since you don't go back a lot to older jobs, I
suspect that you could do what I used to do and just start a new
catalogue every so often.
Can you still access-update-whatever the old catalogs when you start new
ones?
