The lens most likely was made to work as an autofocus lens with a very
specific camera . . . I forgot the model offhand (ME-F?), but know it's
mentioned on Boz's site. 

This was Pentax's rush into autofocus, and placed the motor in the lens
instead of in the camera body . . . 

 . . .  Needless to say, the design was short lived and I believe this
and a 50mm lens were the only two produced.  The lens should work fine
as a manual focus lens though.
