There should be some rules about naming things: when you said you camped near the A380, my first thought was "What's he doing down there? Torquay's a long way from Farnborough!". Sorry, non-UK persons, reference is to English road naming conventions... Is the Vulcan still flying? I recall seeing both the Vulcan and the Victor at Farnborough, probably early 60's: the lasting impression was how slowly they seemed to fly, and the colossal noise they made on take-off!

I was there all week covering for Meridian Tonight. Didn't do any flying, all ground- based filming :-( We had an encampment near the A380: <http://www.seeingeye.tv/pages/eyeshots/eyeshot22.html> and this was the TV platform on the Monday: <http://www.seeingeye.tv/pages/eyeshots/eyeshot23.html> Hot sweaty week but I enjoyed it more than I thought I would. We filmed with the Vulcan for a bit on Friday and interviewed one of the pilots who, it turned out, was the pilot that bombed Port Stanley's runway back in the day! -- Cheers, Cotty ___/\__ || (O) | People, Places, Pastiche ---------- http://www.cottysnaps.com _____________________________ -- PDML Pentax-Discuss Mail List [email protected] http://pdml.net/mailman/listinfo/pdml_pdml.net to UNSUBSCRIBE from the PDML, please visit the link directly above and follow the directions. -- PDML Pentax-Discuss Mail List [email protected] http://pdml.net/mailman/listinfo/pdml_pdml.net to UNSUBSCRIBE from the PDML, please visit the link directly above and follow the directions.
