There should be some rules about naming things: when you said you camped
near the A380, my first thought was "What's he doing down there? Torquay's a
long way from Farnborough!".  Sorry, non-UK persons, reference is to English
road naming conventions...
Is the Vulcan still flying?  I recall seeing both the Vulcan and the Victor
at Farnborough, probably early 60's: the lasting impression was how slowly
they seemed to fly, and the colossal noise they made on take-off!

When did you go to Farnborough? I presume Sat or Sun? I was there all
week covering for Meridian Tonight. Didn't do any flying, all ground-
based filming :-(

Hot sweaty week but I enjoyed it more than I thought I would. We filmed
with the Vulcan for a bit on Friday and interviewed one of the pilots
who, it turned out, was the pilot that bombed Port Stanley's runway back
in the day!
