This is the problem with client users: they really like to see other things
in wide-screen, and often their IT departments have policies about settings
of various sorts: although I have never had a complaint from IT when I have
managed to persuade the user to reset their monitor resolution correctly.

Easy enough - but if I get the owner to do it, will it still show his 
wide-screen HD DVD's full screen - while also viewing
my wed site as it was meant to be seen?

(I got groused at when I first tried to do just what you suggested to 
their machine)

I'm going to try to talk them into it if thats all it takes they do have xp
