Thanks, John.
It seems there's a manufacturing defect with a high pressure power
steering pump hose that's suspected in quite a few vehicle fires on that
car.
Hard to say for sure, but my situation seems to jibe with that of some
of the stories I've seen from others while I've been looking around on
the internet for information.
We'll see.

That's really bad luck Walt - you have my sympathy. Any idea what caused

Hi all,
Normally, I'm much better about replying in a timely manner to responses to
the threads I start on the list than I was yesterday. Well, there's a
reason it took me a little longer.
While I was out taking pictures at a political rally, an announcement came
over the public address system saying, "If there's an owner of a red
Plymouth here, your car is on fire." It instantly occurred to me that
"owner of a red Plymouth" is a pretty accurate description of me.
Lo and behold ...

Unfortunately, this is the only car I have, and my insurance isn't going to
cover the loss. So, now, I'm stuck trying to figure out a way to get around
... with no money, and only a part-time job. Needless to say, I'm living in
"interesting times".
Anybody know of any photography contests where they give away cars? Or nice
bicycles?
