I haven't yet figured out how to tell Lightroom exactly where to put

importing is finished. [I do it in Lightroom.]

I now have a folder dated 2010-11-18 that I want to put in my 2010
folder. Lightroom won't let me. It says there's already a file with
that name in the folder. While I can see the file in Finder, it
doesn't appear in the Lightroom file list. The files in the
"invisible" folder are duplicated in the folder I'm trying to move.

Can I just go into Finder and delete the "invisible" folder?

Eric, I know I am doing this the wrong way, but I've been doing it this way ever since LR 1.0 and I find it mighty convenient. So here goes:

* I have a folder for each camera I own - \K10D for Galia's camera and \K7 for mine.

* When I import my or Galia's shoot, I first copy the files off the card to either of these folders and rename the files/folders as I like.

* Then I open LR and right click on the respective folder and choose "Synchronize Folder". This brings up the import dialog whereas the files are already where I want them.

* Later on I assign key words, delete duds, and move the files as per my storage organization.

I hope this helps you.

Boris
