Thanks, Steve. As I say, my grasp of LR, even just of file management, is pretty shaky at this point. I'll have to see if I can do it the way you do. A catch may be that in the camera the images are in subfolders by date in a folder by year. Perhaps there is a way to change that on the camera side?
