That is great to hear! I have found the 135 to be a tad long on the
K-x, but now you've got me super curious about it on the K1000.
Suddenly, I feel like a real-live Pentaxian!

Solid performers, both. And extraordinarily expensive, even in these days of
overpriced Pentax everything.
I've since moved up to the FA50 f/1.7 so I can have it AF for me. But have yet
to find an affordable alternative to the 135 f/2.5 which I still use on a
regular basis.
