This lens is my go to when the 21mm isn't wide enough. I originally got it to replace the FAJ 18-35 kit lens that came on my *istD. Was a reasonably priced upgrade to that lens. It has fairly good IQ and the constant f4 is nice. True it is a little short on the long end but was better on both ends than the 18-35 (which I think is an underrated lens itself.)
