Despite all of the annoyances, macs are pretty good systems, especially since for most things, if the gui is too confusing, you can always open up a terminal and get to the intuitive command line.
Boy, I've heard the terminal called a lot of things, but...never THAT! :-) To clarify ~ it was the word "intuitive" that threw me... keith whaley
