You might be thinking of me, Joe. I have the previous generation HP LP2475w. It is either S-IPS or a derivative of S-IPS technology. It's been a very good monitor for two or three years now. It has Display Port in addition to the typical DVI and Analog VGA inputs. It does rotate to portrait orientation, though I don't currently use it that way. I haven't seen the replacement line, I think they're the VR or ZR series or something like that.
