I know that there are several types of dis plays, and that the good ones can cost a lot more than others. But I also suspect that a less then best quality display would be jus t fine for rough editing of photos, and I could everything but the final polish on the secondary display. > > On the off chance that someone else on the list has faced this same issue, > any recommendations? hints? warnings?
Stop by and take a look at my shiny new (well, not shiny, actually) HP ZR24w. You can see the unit on the right of this picture: http://www.jfwaf.com/Desktop.jpg There are around 7 megapixels visible there; two 1920x1200 displays, (the ZR24w and my Compaq 8710w), a 1400x1050 screen on the older laptop, and a megapixel or so on the globe just visible at the back of the setup. I've got mine set up in landscape, but it can be switched to portrait. At $420 it's only about $120 more than a non-IPS, non-portrait unit if you want 1920x1200 (you can get 1920x1080 cheaper, but I don't really like 16:9 in landscape orientation, let alone in portrait. -- PDML Pentax-Discuss Mail List [email protected] http://pdml.net/mailman/listinfo/pdml_pdml.net to UNSUBSCRIBE from the PDML, please visit the link directly above and follow the directions.
