I've owned two A* 300/2.8 lenses and both were white without the slightest
tint of green. I even replaced the hood on one of them and the replacement
were also white. All pictures I've seen of the lenses are white and Pentax
even describe the casing as white. Are you sure yours haven't been
subjected to a paint job?
