It brought out a lot of cyan because auto-levels tries to create
an image that averages out to a uniform grey.  You've got a lot
of yellow in that shot, so it compensates by shifiting everything
away from yellow (i.e. towards cyan).

Unless I'm trying to fix a colour cast, I'll generally use "auto
contrast" rather than "auto levels" for just that reason.
