I've never noticed the sound, but I've heard it discussed before and there seems to be agreement on that point - due to the seals. And, yes, mine has a point where it's harder to turn the zoom. Don't have it on me right now or I'd check. Ever since I got the iPhone4, I haven't been carrying the K7 around with me as much.
