Congratulations on your enablement, Boris :)

I have settled on getting the Sigma 17-50mm f/2.8 (with SDM or
whatever) because I was quite happy with its cousin 17-70mm f/2.8-4.5
on my K100D and K10D.

Still, I seem to use only the primes lately. All my zooms (including
the 50-135mm Star with dead SDM) remain sleeping.

I always try to rationalize that a zoom will be handy when I shoot
such an such... Not yet!

I believe you will soon share with us your extended impressions with
this particular lens...
I especially wonder if it will make you miss a prime!
