I don't have or had FA 35, and FA 50 (1.4 I presume) is not the AF speed monster. Yet it occurs to me that given the years long habit of hearing the motor whirr instantly after shutter button registers the half press is in play here. I tried to play with it again this morning and it did not seem too slow, though there were more light in the room. It is sufficiently fast in a sense that I surely can get accustomed to it and learn to work it to the requirements of my personal shooting timing.
