I resolved to buy the one which would come first. I missed a good opportunity to buy Sigma and ended up with Pentax instead. Sigma seems like a bit of a rare beast on the second hand market. > Still, I seem to use only the primes lately. All my zooms (including > the 50-135mm Star with dead SDM) remain sleeping. I looked up the stats on my LR recently. This year (2011) about 40% of my shots were made with zoom (Sigma 24-60/2.8). Most of them were Galia's class events and some local travel where I opted to take the zoom so as not to have to change lenses outdoors, which as you know very well, is not very desirable in our climate zone. > I always try to rationalize that a zoom will be handy when I shoot > such an such... Well, I can tell you already that for comfortable shooting with this lens I absolutely have to attach a grip to my K-5. Now, compare that with (grip-less) K-5 and FA 43 and you will see that I am not going to forget the primes even for a brief moment. -- Boris -- PDML Pentax-Discuss Mail List [email protected] http://pdml.net/mailman/listinfo/pdml_pdml.net to UNSUBSCRIBE from the PDML, please visit the link directly above and follow the directions.
